Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

  1. Identity the differences between research methodologies and methods at an epistemological and empirical level;
  2. Produce a coherent research question;
  3. Plan an appropriate research programme by justifying their choice of research methods;
  4. Analyse and communicate geographical research material.

Brief description

This module provides students with the theoretical knowledge and multi-method research techniques used by human geographers in their research. The students can use this knowledge and skills to conduct research in a variety of contexts and to complete an undergraduate dissertation.
