Define tourism and distinguish between different tourism categories.
Brief description
This module introduces students to the nature, scope and significance of the international tourism industry through a systematic exploration of issues relating to demand, supply and impacts of tourism products and services. As such, it enables students to: (a) identify the scope and nature of the international tourism industry; (b) appreciate the structure and organisation of tourism industry sectors and (c) examine the issues surrounding tourism development.
