Brief description
This module aims to provide students with experience of good practice within the agricultural industry. It is based on a thematic tour of a region in the UK, and gives students the opportunity to report on and analyse the farming enterprises they visit. It is key in demonstrating how farm enterprises integrate with each other and with allied activities.

Microsoft Powerpoint presentation with digital images constructed following visit and subsequently converted into a Web based library
.4 Writing in an academic context
Examination will provide opportunity for students to incorporate knowledge and interpretation from several modules.
.5 Oral discussion and presentation
There will be an opportunity to develop oral questioning skills during the farm visits and whilst presenting information to peer group following visit.
.6 Careers need awareness
Students will, through a series of visits, appreciate the diversity of activity in the agricultural industry.

Visits will be structured and questions prepared beforehand.

Visit presentation will be based on group work
