Postgraduate Certificate in Change Leadership and Postgraduate Modules

In partnership with local enterprise organisation Mentera, Aberystwyth Business School offers a Postgraduate Certificate in Change Leadership.

This continuing professional development qualification compromises of three modules; Leading Change, Coaching and Mentoring for Leaders, and Facilitation for Organisational Leadership, all designed to intellectually challenge, develop skills and extend knowledge.   

All three modules are tailored to empower those who are passionate about creating positive transformations within their organisations. This course is aimed at professional employees and those who are self-employed, and both delivery and assessment are designed to be relevant to professional activities in the workplace. Each course can be undertaken as stand-alone modules for continuing professional development, or successful completion of all three modules will result in a Postgraduate Certificate in Change Leadership.   

Each module takes five days to complete, and students can choose to complete modules through the medium of Welsh or English.

Facilitation for Organisational Leadership 

This module introduces key facilitation skills using practical and interactive learning methods. The module provides an understanding of the theories and techniques required to plan and structure innovative facilitation sessions and dedicates one learning day to Action Learning Sets.

Leading Change 

This module identifies and analyses key leadership, management and teamwork qualities, focusing on driving and supporting change. Examine academic principles of Leadership and Change, engage in facilitated discussions of self-reflection and thought-provoking seminars with senior leaders.

Coaching & Mentoring for Leaders 

This module provides an understanding of coaching principles to develop coaching and mentoring abilities, combining practical skills with academic perspective. Specific emphasis is given to topics such as leading complex workplace conversations, from negotiations to staff appraisals and team meetings.
