Pre-Registration 2024/2025

The following are specific requirements for students taking BA Childhood Studies [X320], BA Early Childhood Studies with Early Years Practitioner Status [X322], BA Education [X302], BA Education (with integrated foundation year) [X30F] and joint and major/minor schemes in the School of Education.
This also applies to Coleg Cambria students taking BA Childhood Studies [X320], FDA Childhood Studies [X321], PCET Professional Graduate Certificate in Education [X101] and PCET Professional Certificate in Education [X102].
Please note if you are taking a degree scheme which is taught jointly with another department you must ensure you meet their pre-registration requirements too.
This year we shall be confirming module choices on-line. You will find general guidelines about the pre-registration process on the web.
Aberystwyth Students:
Further departmental details regarding module choices are provided on Blackboard on the ‘School of Education Undergraduate Information Homepage’ under ‘Pre-Registration’. On this module you will find a recording and PowerPoint informing you of core/optional modules for your degree scheme.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with your scheme requirements: https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/study-schemes/deptfuture/Education/. Please also note Joint Honours and Major Education Students must have taken ED/AD20320 in year 2 if they are to register onto ED/AD33640 Major Dissertation o/Traethawd Estynedig in year 3. Further detail about this is noted in the information available on Blackboard.
The Department will also be providing an optional drop-in session via MS Teams between 17 and 19 April. You will be sent an MS Teams invite for this. You should attend this if you have any questions about pre-registration or your module choices.
Coleg Cambria students should consult with your tutors to ascertain which modules are available to you.
On-line pre-registration will be open to students from 9.00 a.m. on Thursday 18 April - Friday 26 April. (Prior to this date you will only be able to view your record, not make any module choices). Go on-line and complete the pre-registration page, submit your pre-registration choices then await verification (via email) from the relevant department(s).
Students are advised to complete the process online through their student record as soon as possible and before Friday 26 April 2024.

Students will be able to go on-line through their student record from Thursday 18 April - Friday 26 April to enter their module choices. You should ensure you do this as soon as possible.
