Pre-Registration 2024/2025

Department of History and Welsh History 

If you are taking a degree scheme which is taught jointly with another department you must ensure you meet their pre-registration requirements too.

The following are specific requirements for students taking single, joint and major/minor schemes in the Department of History and Welsh History.

Pre-registration advising will be undertaken within the Department on three days only, Monday 15 April – Wednesday 17 April.  You must have your choices authorised by your personal tutor during this period.

On-line pre-registration will be open to students from 9.00 a.m. on Thursday 18 April – Friday 26 April(Prior to this date you will only be able to view your record, not make any module choices).  Go on-line and complete the pre-registration page, submit your pre-registration choices then await verification (via email) from the relevant department(s).

All modules are electronically capped; therefore, it is important that you register online as soon as possible, as places are on a first come first served basis.

Your module choices MUST be approved by your personal tutor before pre-registering online to ensure correct core modules and credits are taken – module choices entered which have not had prior approval by the Department may not guarantee your place on the module.  The pre-registration system is electronically capped therefore if you find that the module choices you wanted are full, please contact Dr Rhun Emlyn, rre@aber.ac.uk, Part Two Tutor to discuss your options.

Students are advised to complete the process online through their student record as soon as possible and before Friday 26 April.
