Pre-Registration 2024/2025

Department of International Politics

If you are taking a degree scheme which is taught jointly with another department you must ensure you meet their pre-registration requirements too.

The following are specific requirements for students taking single, joint and major/minor schemes in the Department of International Politics.

On-line pre-registration will be open to students from 9.00 a.m. on Thursday 18 April – Friday 26 April(Prior to this date you will only be able to view your record, not make any module choices).  Go on-line and complete the pre-registration page, submit your pre-registration choices then await verification (via email) from the relevant department(s).

PLEASE NOTE The module choices that you make at pre-registration will be for the modules you will take next year. You must think carefully about your decision as it may be impossible to change your modules following pre-registration. It is therefore your responsibility to take pre-registration seriously and to choose your modules with care.

Optional module numbers are capped to control numbers of students taking each module.  Allocation will be on a first come first served basis.  Changes following pre-registration will only be possible if there is space for additional students on a module. You will not be allowed to change to a module that has reached its full capacity of students registered.

The departmental specific information on the module choices will be available on Monday, 15 April, including the provision of a Pre-Registration Handbook. An optional drop-in session with the L&T Team to ask questions on the process of Pre-Registration will be held on Tuesday 16 April between 13:00 and 14:00, and staff will be available to discuss the modules that they are offering for 2024/25 both during their office hours that week and in an informal drop-in session between 14:00 and 15:00 on Wednesday 17 April. Please check your emails for further information in due course.

If you are following a degree scheme that is taught in conjunction with another department, you must also ensure that you meet their pre-registration requirements (https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/study-schemes/deptfuture/International+Politics/).

The Department will confirm module choices online as soon as possible. Students are advised to complete the process online through their student record as soon as possible and before Friday, 26 April 2024.
