Dr Xianjiao Ou works as Marie Curie COFUND Ser Cymru II Research Fellow on the project “Understanding the RespOnse OF glaciers in the ‘Third Pole’ to rapid climate change (ROOFToP)” with Professor Helen Roberts and Professor Geoff Duller. This project will develop a novel luminescence dating technique (‘clast burial luminescence dating’) and investigate glaciers response to rapid climate warming which took place at the end of the last glacial period in the 'Third Pole' area (Tibetan Plateau), to improve our understanding of the likely response of glaciers in the climatically-sensitive region to a future warming world.
