Before coming to study at Aberystwyth, remember that while a car may seem the easiest option, the costs of maintaining it can really add up. Could you make your journey by other means? As well, we can only offer a certain amount of permits, so advise to only bring your car if you need to. Parking permits will be in the form of window stickers. The permits will need to be visable from either your vehicle front or rear window, and on any accessible surface for motorbikes.
Please see below information in regards to student parking:
Registered students can only apply for a permit if:
- You are a resident in Cwrt Mawr, Rosser, Trefloyne, Pentre Jane Morgan, or Fferm Penglais.
- You are resident in Pantycelyn – please note: there are only 55 spaces available which are given on a first come, first served basis.
- You are a commuting student with a term-time address 3 miles or more from the Penglais campus.
- You are a disabled blue badge holder.
Please note: all permits will be cross-checked against our Residences list. If you are found to have intentionally misinformed us of your term time address, your parking permit may be terminated and you will be reimbursed the sum of the permit minus an administration fee of £20. It may take up to 28 days for us to process your reimbursement.
