Membership Prices FAQs

Pricing increase details from September 2026

Why are prices increasing?

The cost of operating and maintaining modern leisure facilities like ours continues to rise, with increases across utilities, staffing, maintenance, and essential services. At the same time, we remain committed to investing in our facilities and enhancing the experience we provide to members.

This membership price increase will help us continue delivering excellent value, maintaining high standards throughout our centre, and to continue investing in equipment, services and facilities that support your health and wellbeing.

When will the increase in price take effect?

New price increases will take effect from 1 September 2026. If you’ve already purchased a 1 month or 3 month membership then the price increase will take effect the next time you purchase a membership.

Is there anything I need to do?

Monthly Direct Debit Members: No action is required from members. Your Direct Debit payments will automatically update on 1st September.

Staff Members: If paying via Aber People, your payment will be updated from your salary at the end of August for unlimited access the following month.

Annual or Monthly Members: At the point you renew your membership, you will pay the increased membership price.

What improvements have recently been made to the facility and services?

We have made significant investments across our fitness, sports and leisure facilities to enhance the experience for all members and customers.

The Dome Gym has benefited from a £250,000 investment in new fitness equipment, creating a modern, high-performance training environment with over 138 exercise stations. As a HYROX Accredited Centre, the facility now offers dedicated HYROX training equipment alongside an extensive range of strength, conditioning, free weight and cardiovascular equipment.

Additional improvements across the facility include:

  • Enhanced fitness class programme, with more classes and instructors.
  • Installation of new HYROX training equipment.
  • Restoration of the Sports Hall flooring and resurfacing of the sports hall cage.
  • Pool wall resurfacing works to improve the swimming environment.
  • A full climbing wall route reset quarterly, providing new challenges for climbers.
  • Essential maintenance works to the 3G pitch.

These improvements form part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality facilities, modern equipment and an excellent experience for all users.
