Your comment: Hello! I have had the Food & Drink Package for two years now, and it's been wonderful, and the place where I spend the great majority of it is at the Arts Centre Cafe (which is just absolutely incredible, great quality food and drinks, lovely employees, much love to Sarah and her team!). Their prices for their hot meals have gone up recently by at least a pound for each price level option, and while I'm not sure if prices have changed in other food outlets on campus, it has resulted in me and other students that use their Food and Drink Plan at the Arts Centre Cafe to spend a not-insignificantly larger amount of our balance to purchase the same meals. I would appreciate it if next year, the balance of Food and Drink Package reflected this increase in price, or if at all possible (though I know this is difficult while maintaining the quality and sourcing of the food in the current economic situation) the prices went back to how they used to be. Thank you for your feedback - we are delighted to hear that you enjoy the food and drink on offer on campus. Food inflation has been a huge problem over the last 24 months with prices of standard ingredients going up by around 30% and whilst we initially held prices to help students and staff cope with the cost of living crisis, we eventually had to pass some of these rises on to our customers. I appreciate the point that the catered package balance has not gone up in the meantime and we will review this for the coming September. Don’t forget though that you can increase your balance on your Abercard at any time either online or at a till point.
