Entry Requirements

Pre-sessional English	6 week Pre-sessional English Will improve your English Language ability by the equivalent of 0.5 IELTS points. 12 week Pre-sessional English Will improve your English Language ability by the equivalent of 1.0 IELTS points.
Undergraduate (Bachelors)	A typical Maturity requirement for a course with a BBB A level entry requirement is an overall average grade of 4.5. International Baccalaureate: Grade between 28-36. European Baccalaureate: Grade of 65%-75% dependent upon course. We accept the following qualifications: Federal Maturity Certificate / Maturitätszeugnis Certificat de Maturité Baccalauréat Attestato di Maturità Federally recognised Cantonal Maturity Certificate (Eidgenössisch anerkanntes kantonales Maturitätszeugnis / Certificat de Maturité cantonal reconnu par la Confédération / Attestato di Maturità contonale riconosciuto dalla Confederazione) Passerelle Berufsmaturität from Universitäre Hochschulen UG English Language Requirements
Postgraduate (Masters)	Degree equivalent to UK Honours bachelor’s degree (2:2 minimum). However, some departments may require upper second class honours degrees (2.1) or relevant work experience. Diplôme d'Etat / Fachhochschule Diplom (FH) / Hautes Écoles Specialisées Diplôme: Weighted average of 4.7 PG English Language Requirements
Research (PhD)	Ordinarily you will need a strong grade from your Bachelors degree (2:1 equivalent or above), and/or a Masters degree. You will also need to write a comprehensive research proposal as part of your application. It is advised to identify a potential supervisor in advance.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Exam (Undergraduate)	The Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Exam offers up to £6,000 in tuition discounts, with £2,000 per year for the top 20% of students who pass two exams. One of my fondest memories of Aberystwyth is sitting on the beach at the end of a long week and watching the sun set beneath the waves. Adjusting to life in Aberystwyth was easy. Everything is within a 15-minute walk from Campus. Although Aberystwyth is small it has just about everything one needs.

The seafront is beautiful, the town is nice and the university is great. The best memories are the moments I spent with the friends I met here, it was absolutely amazing to meet people from all around the world, and we had really good times in pubs or at the beach.
