Aberystwyth Open Days

Why come to an Open Day at Aberystwyth?

The best way to find out for yourself why Aberystwyth could be the right university for you is to visit us on an Open Day – why not register to visit us on Saturday 8 October or Saturday 12 November.

Our Open Days are an opportunity for you to meet our staff and students and learn more about our courses. Here are 5 reasons why you should visit us on an Open Day, and what to expect.

  1. See the campus and our accommodation

Take a tour of the campus with our Aberystwyth University ambassadors and find out exactly where you’ll be learning and studying. You’ll also get an opportunity to visit the largest Arts Centre in Wales, our on-campus Sports Centre and Halls of Residence. Find out what accommodation options will be available to you and see why Aberystwyth has been rated Top in the UK for Halls and Student Accommodation (WhatUni Student Choice Awards, 2022).

  1. Chat to staff

Chat to our support, admissions and academic staff. An Open Day is an opportunity to ask questions and get answers which will help you decide which course and university is right for you. It’s also a great opportunity to find out what support is available to you once you start.

  1. Chat to students

Learn more about student life by chatting to our ambassadors, and find out why Aberystwyth is Top in England and Wales for Student Satisfaction (National Student Survey 2022). Our ambassadors are all current students so it’s a great way to get an honest opinion of what life is like as an Aberystwyth University student.

  1. Choose a course

Visit different departments to learn about our wide range of courses. Hear about what you’ll be studying from the lecturers that will be teaching you, and get an understanding of why we’ve been rated Top in the UK for Teaching Quality (Good University Guide, The Times and Sunday Times 2021).

  1. Learn more about our location

Take time to explore the town and our local area, and see for yourself why so many of our students love our location. On the west coast of Wales, Aberystwyth is situated between the mountains and the sea. Our students spend their spare time exploring our surrounding area and socialising in our welcoming, inclusive student town. This is your place to explore your interests and grow, both academically and personally.
