Aberystwyth Open Days

What to expect at an Open Day

Our Open Day runs from 9am-4pm and is held across campus in our main university buildings, giving you a taste of campus life.

You’ll learn more about your subject of interest, chat with academic staff and current students, tour our accommodation and facilities and get advice on the application process, student support, fees, scholarships and more.

Five reasons to visit us at an Open Day

  1. Start your day with a welcome and meet our staff
Begin your visit at registration before heading to our welcome talk, where you’ll get an overview of the University, your next steps and what to expect from the day. You can then visit our information fair in the main library, open throughout the day, to speak with staff from admissions, student support, global opportunities, and fees and finance. It’s your chance to ask questions and get the information you need to make the right decision.

  2. Explore your subject and meet your lecturers
Visit the departments you’re interested in and learn more about our courses. Meet the lecturers who will be teaching you, find out what you’ll be studying and get a feel for the academic environment. This is your opportunity to see where you’ll be learning and ask detailed questions about your subject.

  3. Take a tour of the campus and facilities
Join a student-led tour to explore the campus and see where you’ll be studying day to day. You’ll visit key facilities including our Sports Centre, library and Students’ Union, and get a real sense of what it’s like to live and learn here.

  4. View our accommodation
Take a look around our accommodation options to see where you could be living. Visiting in person helps you compare different rooms and locations, so you can decide what suits you best.

  5. Discover student life and our location
Chat to our student ambassadors to hear first-hand what life is like at Aberystwyth. Explore the town and surrounding area and see why so many of our students love living here, with the coast, countryside and a welcoming community all on your doorstep.
