Shuttle Bus Service

Aberystwyth Railway Station

During the Applicant Visiting Day, a free shuttle service runs between the town and Penglais campus (9.00 - 16.30).   Please call into the welcome desk at the University’s Workstation (next to Aberystwyth train station) to request a bus.

The service will set down and pick up from the main Penglais Campus bus stop, where staff members will be based to assist with queries. 

Please note that the last bus to the railway station will leave Penglais Campus at 16.30 although the next train departure is 17:30.

School of Art 

A free bus service also operates from Penglais Campus Bus Stop (in the layby just below the University Reception near Penglais Campus entrance) to the School of Art, which is located in the town. The buses will be departing campus on the hour and half hour, between 09:30 - 16:00.  Please refer to the School of Art programme for building opening times and activities. Parking is also available on site. 

Accommodation

A shuttle bus service runs frequently to Pentre Jane Morgan and Fferm Penglais throughout the day from Penglais Campus bus stop.

Taster talk : The Sun

A brief lecture on the physics of the Sun. Get an insight into the teaching offered using specific research examples from the Space Physics Group at Aberystwyth. The group specialises in the development of eruptive features on the Sun, the evolution of the outer atmosphere extending into the solar wind, and its impact on the environment of the planets.

Additional Information:

Please be aware that our meet-and-greet stations and activities are located at two separate sites: Penbryn 5 (Department of Psychology) and Medrus (Conference Centre). These are in different buildings on campus, and it takes approximately 5 minutes to walk between them. For guidance on getting to your scheduled activity, please speak with the staff at the central desks in the Arts Centre.
