Pre-Registration

Department of Physics

If you are taking a degree scheme which is taught jointly with another department you must ensure you meet their Pre-Registration requirements too.

The following are specific requirements for students taking schemes in the Department of Physics.

The Department of Physics will place advice for Pre-registration on the Blackboard site of the module ‘DEPT-T-UG-O: Physics Undergraduate Information’ which can be found in the ‘Organisations’ section. This advice will be available from Monday 18th September onwards. This module has a folder called 'Welcome Week' that contains information relevant to each year group and includes advisory information for study schemes and module requirements for 2023/24. The following link will take you into the appropriate place in the Blackboard system:

Welcome Week – Physics Undergraduate Information ... (aber.ac.uk)

Once you have followed the link, you will need to enter your Aberystwyth University username and password to access the system.

You will then enter your chosen modules on your student record (https://studentrecord.aber.ac.uk/en/) using the Pre-registration task by the end of Monday 25th September.

Remember that if you have any questions about Pre-registration you can contact your personal tutor, year tutor or the module coordinators. Your tutors will be available to hold individual meetings via Microsoft Teams or to discuss your questions by emailing phys@aber.ac.uk
