Drama Medal at 2009 Urdd Eisteddfod

The Drama Medal at the Urdd National Eisteddfod in Cardiff 2009 was won by one of the Department’s PhD students. Gruffudd Eifion Owen was praised by the judges for his writing skills and in particular his use of dialect in his play. He is currently researching the life and works of the playwright and author W.S.Jones, and says that Wil Sam’s plays provide him with constant inspiration.
