Sixth Form Course

A very successful one-day course for Year 13 first language pupils was held at the Old College on 2^nd October 2009. This ‘taster’ day gave pupils the opportunity to hear staff from the Welsh Department lecture on some interesting A Level syllabus topics,  and they were given a session by the well-known Welsh bard, Ceri Wyn Jones, who discussed  20^th century poems from the Welsh A Level syllabus, including his own work. There were also  Breton and Irish taster sessions for those pupils who wanted to try something different.
