Natural History Illustration: Invertebrates

Gain the skills to create your own field study book whilst exploring a variety of drawing and painting media and methods including tonal and linear drawing with mixed media and watercolour wash techniques for depicting form, volume, colour, texture and pattern. You will develop your observational abilities and knowledge of the fascinating world of invertebrates, whilst gaining the scientific vocabulary and skills which can be applied to a variety of subject matter. This online course will be delivered using video demonstrations, downloadable handouts with individual assistance through a Tutorial and regular tutor feedback. It is expected that you will devote 50 hours to your study.
