Handmade Embroidery Stitches

This face-to-face course with further supportive information on Blackboard will embrace the stitching tradition of The Welsh Sampler from the middle of the 1800s; its origins and stitches. Reference will be made to the Last invasion tapestry from Fishguard made by a community of embroiderers. Students will work on class and self-directed projects during the course and create small and plan a larger piece that can be completed after the course has finished. Using basic stitches and bright threads, you will be able to create a personalised beautiful object.
