Profile
Dr Jemma Sinclair teaches archaeology, history, and ecology at Aberystwyth University. With over 20 years research background in heritage and land-use research, she recently co-authored a Net Zero Carbon policy paper for DEFRA as part of the NERC-funded Landscape Decisions Programme. A member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists, and as an alumni of the UKRI-funded policy programme at the Institute for Government her work spans engagement, co-production, GIS, and curriculum development. She also works with Business Wales, supporting innovation and sustainability in the third sector and rural communities, and remains active in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of environment, heritage, and low-carbon futures
Jemma’s work has taken her all over Europe but she is a native of West Wales and is lucky enough to live by the sea in rural Ceredigion. She volunteers with the local RNLI lifeboat and is a Rescue Officer with HM Coastguard.
