"The best thing about Aberystwyth University is its student body. I've made lifelong friends during my time studying in Aber, and the lovely seaside town is handily connected to the Midlands, however, properly distant from the hustles from big cities - a perfect spot for people to bond with each other regardless of distinct cultural backgrounds, departmental specialisations and professional ambitions. As an international student, the experience in Aber has helped me to establish a true connection to the UK and gain unique experience and knowledge of Wales and the West Midlands (which is uncommon for Asian students as most complete their studies in England). Both have become crucial factors that helped set me apart in my later career development – I now work in commercial banking. If you're also an international student about to start your life chapter in Aberystwyth University, you will be totally taken very good care of at Aber, and my only advice to you would be: dream big from your Welsh hometown!"

"Aberystwyth is one of the best towns in the world, the scenery there is very beautiful, you could see the sunlight and hike along the coast on a sunny day. Seafood is very cheap, you could buy crabs and lobsters from the fisherman directly. People there are very nice, they always smile at you, they are willing to help you when you need it.
Aberystwyth is a peaceful town, it’s easier for students to concentrate on study. All Professors are patient and humorous, although studying is very hard, you will be very happy and enjoy your time there. They are the best and most unforgettable memories in my life. I am now working at Hongzhou technology in China, Beijing."

"The years of living in Aberystwyth are the best time of my life and Aberystwyth is my favourite place in the world. During my PhD study I received professional training in doing research which will benefit my entire career. I was also benefited from various training courses and workshops provided by the university. Currently I work as a lecturer at Shandong Normal University in China. Those years of life in Aberystwyth brings me lots of wonderful memories. It is safe and convenient to live in the town. I really miss the beautiful sceneries and the kind local people. "I am currently at a big company which is called Fosun group, it invests in many fields like real estate, medicines, culture-oriented travel, new energy power, steel, mining, etc. And I am in charge of planning as a whole for all departments, in case of floating capital chain breakage, therefore I always have to coordinate all capital properly. Currently my title is Senior Account Manager.
When I studied at Aber, the courses were well organised and all students are likely to discuss with each other the content of the course. The lecturers were always giving good examples to help us understand well, therefore I think the education at Aber was the best I had ever experienced.
My favourite thing about living in Aber was there were so many attractions around this city, such as the middle age's castle and a small train to the peak of the mountain where the beach was at the foot, we visited on the weekend and after an important exam, those were all good memories.
In fact, the degree I achieved in Aber was very important to my career, especially the knowledge I learned in the lectures and seminars, such as financial data analysis, marketing, macro and micro market analysis and etc, because my work for now is all involved in finance-related knowledge. I am currently at a big company which is called Fosun group, it invests so many fields like real estate, medicines, culture-oriented travel, new energy power, steel, mining, etc. And I am in charge of planning as a whole for all departments, in case of floating capital chain breakage, therefore I always have to coordinate all capital properly, and currently my title is Senior Account Manager.
At last, I would like to give advice for Chinese students is trying to relax and do not worry about your study particularly studying at Aber uni, of course it has a beautiful beach and sunset, you should be enjoying this fine view and learning what you have to learn every day, do not panic, do not think more about your further career, just study and enjoy your current time."
