Entry Requirements

Foundation

Successful completion of Bacheillerato with an average grade of 60%

Undergraduate

For direct entry onto our three-year BA/BSc schemes they will require IB, A Levels etc. plus IELTS (or equivalent).

If applying for a science-based scheme evidence of 70% in Mathematics in the Bachillerato is required.

Postgraduate

You will be required to have a relevant four-year Licenciado / Professional title from a recognised institution, with a grade of approximately 7.50 or above to qualify for Aberystwyth University's postgraduate taught programmes. You can find a breakdown of grades below.

English Requirement

IELTS score of at least 6.0 - 7.5

If you require help or assistance with your English then our International English Centre will be pleased to offer assistance and guidance. The Centre offers an intensive full-time course available before you commence your degree and provides ongoing support throughout the duration of your studies.

Aberystwyth Costa Rica Scholarship (Undergraduate)	£2,000 tuition fee discount for every taught year of studies	Students must be self-funded and not receive any other scholarships apart from the International Accommodation Award.
Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship (Postgraduate)	£2,000 - £3,000 tuition fee discount	Students with an equivalent of a UK First Honours degree will be eligible for a £3,000 discount. Students with an equivalent of a UK Upper Second (2:1) or Lower Second (2:2) degree will receive a £2,000 discount. Students must be self-funded and not receive any other scholarships apart from the International Accommodation Award.
