6 week Pre-sessional English

12 week Pre-sessional English 

Will improve your English Language ability by the equivalent of 1.0 IELTS points.

International Foundation Programme

• 30-week: Certificate of Secondary Education (Attestat) with minimum 4 or 'good' overall and in relevant subjects.
  Candidates who narrowly miss the academic entry requirements may be considered subject to interview.
  
• IELTS: for UKVI 4.5 - 5.0 depending on the pathway selected.

• 15-week: Certificate of Secondary Education (Attestat) with minimum 5 or 'good' overall and in relevant subjects.
  Candidates who narrowly miss the academic entry requirements may be considered subject to interview.
  
• IELTS: for UKVI 5.0-5.5 depending on the pathway selected.
  

Applicants must have an IELTS for UKVI or Trinity College SELT from a UK government approved test centre in order to get a CAS / Tier 4 Visa for a Foundation Course in the UK. Contact tesol@aber.ac.uk

Applicants for a foundation or direct entry Bachelors programme are required to have completed their last period of study within a maximum of 2 years of the course start date at Aberystwyth.

Completion of the Svidetel'stvo o Srednem Obrazovanii (Certificate of Secondary Education) with an average of 4 or 'good' overall is required to be considered for entry onto our integrated foundation course.

For direct entry to an undergraduate degree, we accept students with good grades in their Kazakh secondary school qualification (Attestat) AND who have completed a recognised foundation course.  Students with good Attestat qualifications and who have completed at least 1-2 years of study from a recognised Kazakh university can also be considered for direct entry into year one of a bachelor's degree. On completion of a ‘Certificate of Complete Secondary Education’, a further year of foundation studies is required in order to gain entry onto an undergraduate degree.

UG English Language Requirements

Students who have got good grades in their Diplom ob Okanchanii Vyssheg(v)o Uchebnog(v)o Zavedeniya from a recognised Kazakh university.

PG English Language Requirements

Ordinarily you will need a strong grade from your Bachelors degree (2:1 equivalent or above), and/or a Masters degree.

You will also need to write a comprehensive research proposal as part of your application. It is advised to identify a potential supervisor in advance.

Global Citizens Scholarship

(Undergraduate and Postgraduate)

Undergraduate students will receive a tuition fee discount of £3,000 (Humanities) or £4,500 (Sciences) for every year of study.

Postgraduate students will receive a tuition fee discount of £3,000 (HUmanites) or £3,800 (Sciences) for every year of study.

Offers returning international Aberystwyth University graduates a £2,000 tuition fee discount on postgraduate courses.

International Family Award

£1,000 tuition fee discount available to international fee-paying students who have a family member that has studied, or is studying, at Aberystwyth University.
