Late Registration

The University does not give permission for late registration: students are required to be in attendance according to the Dates of Term.

All students are required to register with the University.  It is the student's responsibility to ensure they register with the University by completing the Online Registration Task on their Student Record. Details of arrangements and timetables for Registration Tasks can be found on the following pages:

Failure to complete Online Registration by the deadlines given, below, will have a number of implications - see Important Information at the bottom of this page.

 

All New and Returning Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate Students - (except Healthcare Education Centre, Veterinary Science, and Distance Learning students)

All new and returning Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate students (except Healthcare Education Centre, Veterinary Science, and Distance Learning students) should complete Online Registration by 5pm on Wednesday 23 September.

If you are unable to complete the Online Registration Task by this date you will have to contact your academic department(s) where staff will advise you on your module choices (if applicable).

Once you have chosen the required number of credits for your scheme, you will then need to complete the Online Registration Task from your Student Record.

You must complete late registration no later than 5pm - Wednesday, 30 September.

If you fail to register by this deadline:

  • you must inform the Student Education Administration Office
  • you will lose access to email and other Information Services facilities.

Healthcare Education Centre Students - Nursing Schemes

Healthcare Education Centre Students must complete Online Registration by the times noted in the table, below:

If you are unable to complete the Online Registration Task by this date you will have to contact your academic department(s) where staff will advise you on your module choices (if applicable).

Once you have chosen the required number of credits for your scheme, you will then need to complete the Online Registration Task from your Student Record.

Veterinary Science Students

Veterinary Science students must complete Online Registration by 5pm - Wednesday, 16 September.

Distance Learning Courses

New students must complete online registration by 14 days from the course start date on your offer letter. 

Returning students are encouraged to complete online registration by 5pm Wednesday 23 September or earlier and by no later than 14 days, after the annual start date of 21 September.

Important Information

If you fail to complete registration by the deadlines given above, it has a number of implications:

  • You may not be allowed to register for the forthcoming year.
  • Your access to Information Services facilities - computing and library – will be withdrawn. This is irrespective of whether you have informed the University you intend to register late.  Your access will not be reinstated until you have completed registration.
  • You will not receive payment of your loan or bursary until you have completed registration fully.
  • If you wish to take modules in which the numbers of students allowed are limited, then you must complete registration to secure your place.

If you will be living in University accommodation and will be late returning to University, you must inform the Accommodation Office. You can email accommodation@aber.ac.uk or phone (01970) 622984.  If you have not given prior notice of your late return your place may be released to another student.
