International Foundation Programme in Business, Economics & Finance
The International Foundation Programme in Business, Economics & Finance, delivered on campus by Aberystwyth University and recruited to globally in partnership with David Game College, provides international students with a high-quality pathway into UK higher education.
This programme will equip students with the academic skills, subject knowledge, and confidence needed to progress onto a wide range of degree programmes within the Aberystwyth Business School.
Students benefit from approximately 20 hours of weekly contact time, through a variety of teaching methods designed to support different learning styles. Seminars, tutorials, interactive learning, pair work, group tasks, discussions, and presentations, are all activities which are used to help students develop the communication and analytical skills essential for university-level study in the UK.
Our tutors value individual perspective and will encourage students to share academic interests so these can be integrated into your learning experience. Through the programme, you will:
- critically engage with contemporary issues in Business, Economics, Finance and Accounting
- learn about internal and external business environments, the operation of markets, sources of finance, and accounting methods
- try out undergraduate-level learning, building your understanding of business concepts and topics
- develop study skills in research, academic writing, group work and effective note taking in English
- become confident in preparing and presenting your academic work in English, ready for undergraduate study.
