The Research Development Team assist researchers with all aspects of developing applications for research funding - identifying funding sources, finding partners, interpreting funder guidance, advice on structuring and costing proposals. The team also provide support and advice services for research ethics and integrity across the University.

International and Business Development
The International and Business Development team support International and European grant applications; facilitate funding, collaboration and knowledge exchange with business; support regional and partnership working; and advise on protecting and commercialising research.

The Contracts and Policies team review, negotiate and execute agreements related to research and knowledge exchange. These include collaboration agreements, material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements and managing academic consultancy. We also advise on the university consultancy and intellectual property policies and operate the two knowledge exchange subsidiary companies, Aber Business Consultancy Ltd and Aber Trading Ltd.

The Project Management team provides quality assurance and project management, from monitoring and post award support, guidance and best practise to Structural Funded operations, to delivering projects against the RWIF (Research Wales Innovation Fund) Strategy KPIs. It also delivers the ESF funded KESS (Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships) operation for Aberystwyth University, linking postgraduate projects to companies.
