The International Student Adviser provides specialised immigration advice, in accordance to the Home Office's Immigration rules, on study visa routes to prospective and current international students, and their dependants, who come to study at Aberystwyth University.
What can we help you with?
Provide advice on how to apply for a student visa from 'inside' or 'outside' of the UK.
Provide advice to dependants of Student Visa holders.
Provide advice on Visitor Visa permission to students who are coming on a course of less than six months.
Protect international students’ immigration status in the UK by providing advice on:
- withdrawal from studies,
- authorised absence,
- changing degree scheme,
- adding a study abroad or period of work placement,
- work conditions,
- working rights in the UK,
- visa extensions – PhD students, repeat/resits, Pre-sessional students,
Support EU/EEA and Swiss students to protect their status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
Provide information on post-study visa options to students wishing to pursue further studies or work in the UK.
Provide support to international students on a wide range of issues.
