Tuition fees cover the cost of your study at university. Fees include charges for things like your tuition, examinations and graduation.

Fee information for UK and Irish students

The UK and Welsh Governments recently announced universities could charge a maximum of £9,790 for the 2026/27 academic year, pending legislative approval in Wales. If approval is given, we intend to charge £9,790 per year for courses beginning in the 2026/27 academic year and will confirm this here. Please note, Aberystwyth reserves the right to increase fees in future years in line with UK and Welsh Government approval. 

Fee information for international students (including EU)

Please note Irish nationals will continue to be eligible for home fee status and support by the Welsh Government under the Common Travel Area arrangement.

Most international students are eligible to apply for the International Accommodation Award, which means accommodation costs can be included in your tuition fees.

For international undergraduate students, fee levels are frozen at the level of entry for subsequent study years. This means you know exactly what your fee levels will be for the duration of your studies with Aberystwyth University.

Fee information for UK and Irish students

Following Welsh Government confirmation of the increase in the maximum fee that can be charged to UK and Irish full-time undergraduate students from £9,250 to £9,535, we will implement this change to fees for applicable students for the 2025/26 academic year. Following the UK Government decision to lower the maximum fee level for Foundation Years for UK and Irish students following classroom-based subjects, the fee for the Foundation Year on the following schemes will be £5,760 from Academic Year 2025/26:
