The Tour Itself

What will I expect on one of the Tours?

The Campus Tour will be a walking tour and will take approximately an hour. We will be able to show you the location of academic departments, some on-campus facilities, and a selection of accommodation options. This is a great opportunity to get a feel for the University location and surrounding area. 

 

How long does the Campus Tour last?

The Campus Tour approximately lasts 60 minutes.

What time should I arrive for the Campus Tour?

You should arrive at least 10 minutes before your booked time so that appropriate arrangements can be made. 

Who will be taking me on the Tour?

The Campus Tours will be led by one of our trained ambassadors. This would be the perfect opportunity for you to ask questions about the course(s) they are studying, what it’s like to be a student in Aberystwyth, what the town is like and much more. 

What should I wear?

The Campus Tour is a walking tour and the campus itself is located on a hill so we would advise all attendees to bring suitable footwear and be prepared for all weather. 

 

Will I be able to see all available accommodation?

Does the Campus Tour include seeing the sports facilities?

You will be able to see some of our sports facilities whilst on the Campus TourNot all sports facilities are on Campus but our Sports Centre is. You will have the opportunity to see the majority of offered facilities seen here: https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/sportscentre/facilities/  

Will there be somewhere for me to park?

Yes, car parking is available free of charge behind the Arts Centre. 

Once you’ve signed up for a Campus Tour you should receive a follow up email soon after with directions to the meeting point. 

What financial support is available?

Following your visit you will need to complete and return a Campus Tour Travel Expense Claim Form, which we will send to you after your visit (you can claim up to a maximum of £75.00 dependent on distance of travel).

Please note, reimbursements only apply to applicants (offer holders for 2023 entry).
