I have been employed at Aberystwyth University since January 1990. Prior to 1990, I was Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Informatics at Leeds Metropolitan University and a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Information Studies, University of Sheffield. A keen fitness fan, I enjoy walking (especially long distance footpaths and mountains). Cultural interests include cinema and theatre, and choral singing, mostly with the University Singers. In 2008 I fulfilled a lifetime ambition to perform as a member of a professional orchestra.
