Overview

Developing your Crochet Skills is a practical course designed to be an ideal follow-on from our 'Hooked on Wool' course or for learners wishing to further develop their crochet skills. This face-to-face course will develop learners' skills in different stitches, use of colour, working in rows and rounds along with crocheting around structure. Using these skills, and with support from the tutor, you will crochet a rose and a pair of comfy slippers. Each session will be held in person under the specialist guidance of a professional tutor with experience in this field.

 

Programme

Session 1 - Crochet basics Introduction and welcome to the course.

Session 2 - Crochet a rose How to change colour.

Session 3 - Crochet comfy slippers.

Session 4 - Bringing your garment to life

Session 5 - Project turn in, assessment & celebration of achievements.

Assessments

  1. Practical Skills Assessment - Create a crochet rose. (50%)
  2. Practical Skills Assessment - Crochet a pair of slippers. (50%)
