Fee Waiver Scheme
If you live in Wales you may be eligible to have your fees waived under the Medr - Commission for Tertiary Education and Research Part-Time Undergraduate Fee Waiver scheme.
With the support of the Medr, we are offering a fee waiver scheme (subject to availability) to support students who would not otherwise have access to higher education. Eligible students will have their course fees paid by Medr.
To be eligible for a fee waiver you:
- must not study more than 25 credits in this academic year
- must be living in Wales
You must also meet at least one of the following criteria:
- you are from an area of socio-economic deprivation or low participation in higher education;
- you receive qualifying benefits such as Universal Credit;
- you belong to a Black, Asian or minority ethnic group;
- you are a refugee or asylum seeker;
- you have a disability;
- you are a carer;
- you are a Care Leaver or Care Experienced;
- you identify as LBGTQ+;
- you are studying through the medium of Welsh.
Successful applicants will need to provide evidence of your home address, such as a driving licence, a utility bill or benefits award letter dated within the last six weeks. Photographs are accepted.

Please be aware that the Student Fee Waiver scheme is subject to availability.
The fee waiver process can take up to a month to complete. Give yourself plenty of time before starting the course.
Please note: Successful applicants will be charged the full course fee if they enrol on a course but are unable to attend, or complete course assignments.
