Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
- Design a survey of vegetation (specifically forests)
- Establish and layout sample plots for vegetation inventory and conduct standard measurements
- Set up a survey network using a combination of total stations and GPS
- Set up and operate a terrestrial laser scanner.
- Plan field campaigns in support of airborne/spaceborne remote sensing surveys.
- Write manuals/protocols relating to collection of field, ground and airborne remote sensing data.
- Explain and articulate methods of field, ground and airborne remote sensing data collection.
