Brief description

The subject of ethics is highly topical in the contemporary business world. Recent years have seen a lot of media coverage of 'unethical' business conduct and there is growing public concern about the social and environmental consequences of business activity. The governance of corporations has attracted particular interest, with the behaviour of managers, their relationship with various stakeholders and issues such as executive remuneration occupying a high profile. This module encourages students to reflect critically on such matters. In so doing, it aims to develop students' ability to discuss, from an ethical perspective, various approaches to the relationships that shape the corporate environment.
