On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
Demonstrate an ability to plan and perform an experiment with minimal input from teaching staff.
Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of electronic control of scientific equipment.
Demonstrate an ability to keep a laboratory diary.
Complete a formal scientific report on an experiment.
In this module, students will perform experiements to investigate two primary areas: space science and electronic control of scientific equipment. In particular, students will be expected, by the end of the module, to control an actual physical experiment, to automatically take data, store it and process it, as might be expected in a robotic probe sent to space.
This module is at CQFW Level 5
