Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
1. Undertake measurements and calculations relating amount to molarity.
2. Explain the chemical structure and properties of the major classes of biomolecules.
Brief description
This module will introduce students to the concepts of elements, atoms, bonding and molarity. These will be exemplified through an in-depth study of sugars, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids.
Content
The module is primarily delivered through lectures, with one practical class.
