On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
Evaluate and apply knowledge from the sub-disciplines of sport and exercise science to self-chosen theme.
Demonstrate knowledge of a client-centred approach to sport and exercise science support work.
Demonstrate knowledge of professional accreditation frameworks, ethics, and codes of practice when working with clients.
Produce an applied analysis of a self-chosen setting inthe form of a client-centred proposal for consultancy demonstrating evaluation and application of knowledge from the sub-disciplines of sport and exercise science.
The purpose of this module is to build upon the multidisciplinary approach taken in Year 2, and take an integrated approach in the development of knowledge in sport and exercise science.
The current Applied and Thematic Skills module focuses on the structured development of a number of generic skills, provides opportunities for career development and enhancement, and also the application of sport and exercise science. The new University Skills modules (1 and 2) and restructured Work Experience modules allows for Applied and Integrated Studies to focus on the application of sport and exercise science to real life sport and exercise settings in Years 2 and 3.
