Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

1. Discuss the theory, and evaluate and implement the know ledge and tools of operations and supply chain management.

2. Critically evaluate systems for the operational management of materials, inventory and capacity.

3. Critically review the design, planning and control of supply chains.

4. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance and impact of technological change in business operations.

5. Identify and discuss the contemporary operational and supply chain issues faced by organizations.

Brief description

This module provides an introduction to a range of topics under the general heading of operations and supply chain management. The module develops an understanding of the application of relevant operations and supply chain concepts/techniques to manage operations and supply chains efficiently and effectively, and resolve business problems.
