Evaluate and synthesize complex ideas drawn from seminars and reading in the composition of conceptual and creative outcomes.

Disgrifiad cryno

Firmly rooted in Aberystwyth, but addressing global issues, this module will utilise the local landscape to introduce students to theories of representation relating to space and place. Exploring film and television texts (both documentary and fiction), but also myths, novels, poetry, visual art, postcards and popular music, the module will encourage students to think critically about what it means to represent a place. Through a combination of screenings, seminars and weekly field trips, physically exploring the local landscape will form a core part of the module and will provide students with opportunities to respond creatively and critically to their locatedness in the landscape.

Addasrwydd a gwydnwch	Students will need to be flexible and demonstrate adaptability during the weekly fieldtrips when responding creatively to new places and space.
Cydlynu ag erail	Students will work closely with each other in the weekly viewing / workshops and fieldtrips to gain understanding of complex concepts.
