Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

*Have an understanding of the role and scope of the director in theatre, film and television.

*Have an initial experience of the director's work.

Aims

To enable students to develop a sophisticated awareness of the conditions affecting the work of the director and his/her general role and scope in theatre, film and television.

Content

Lecturers who have specialist practical knowledge and experience in the different fields will teach the course collaboratively. The precise contents will be established in view of the requirements of each year's student group.
