Wedi cwblhau'r modiwl dylai'r myfyrwyr fedru:

1. Discuss factors influencing change at a destination
2. Analyse a range of strategic responses to the various problems associated with tourism e.g. overtourism and ethical matters
3. Evaluate the development and implementation of tourism policies at various tourism destinations (domestic and international) which tackle current challenges e.g. Covid 19, climate change, regeneration etc.
4. Plan and perform a range of field research techniques including analysis.
5. Effectively communicate specific research findings on contemporary tourism issues.
6. Reflect on one’s own learning (from guest and specialist lectures and the field trip) and future application of this.

Disgrifiad cryno

Tourism development brings a range of challenges and impacts that may be observed first hand. This module combines specialist and industry guest lectures with a visit to a domestic tourism destination. The module provides detailed knowledge of tourism development both generally and at a specific destination. The module examines the impacts, challenges and constraints associated with the development of tourism in a specific destination area, and evaluates tourism policy , with particular relevance to contemporary challenges e.g. over tourism, rural regeneration, response to disasters (e.g. Covid 19), climate change etc.

Cyfathrebu	Verbal presentation skills will be required in the presentation and reflective journals. Students will also need to design their Powerpoint presentations.
Datblygu personol a chynllunio gyrfa	The specialist and guest lectures and field visits will provide an opportunity for students to different roles in the tourism industry. The reflective assessment will ask students to evaluate their personal development and career goals.
