Wedi cwblhau'r modiwl dylai'r myfyrwyr fedru:

  1. 1. Deliver a project through the project planning and within lifecycle to delivery.
  2. 2. Have knowledge of working with and dealing with customers throughout a project.
  3. 3. To identify appropriate remote and GIS datasets and techniques to deliver a project defined by a customer.
  4. 4. Complete work within a defined schedule and to a required standard.
  5. 5. Demonstrate team working skills in the context of the discipline
  6. 6. Demonstrate communication skills, formally in reports and oral presentations but also communications skills within the team.

Disgrifiad cryno

This module will be composed of group projects where the problem being tackled by the student groups will be defined by an outside organisation (e.g., Welsh Government, Environment Systems Ltd, Geo Smart Decisions Ltd and Joint Nature Conservation Committee) who will act as the customer throughout the project. Student groups are expected to produce a project plan, deliver the proposed project and provide an end of project report and presentation. An advisory panel (the staff teaching on the module) will also be available to the student groups throughout the project.

Cynnwys

This module aims to put students through the whole project life cycle from conception to delivery and to gain experience working for an outside client / customer. These are skills and knowledge commonly lacking from graduates. The projects will focus on a problem within the field of spatial data analysis and will mostly likely be environmental in nature.
Taught sessions will include, project management and project lifecycles. While a number of workshops to monitor and discuss progress against the project plan will be held at regular intervals.
