Wedi cwblhau'r modiwl dylai'r myfyrwyr fedru:

  1. Understand and evaluate frameworks for safeguarding.
  2. Evaluate the implementation of safeguarding in different educational and childcare contexts.
  3. Evaluate and understand the importance of multi-agency approaches.
  4. Understand the professional roles and responsibilities of practitioners and leaders in safeguarding.
  5. Reflect on their own practices and/or experiences of professional practice in education and childcare.

Disgrifiad cryno

This module will prepare students with the knowledge and skills to prepare and implement effective safeguarding practices that align with legislation and policy. Students will evaluate frameworks and legislation for safeguarding and, through a series of case studies, will evaluate the implementation of safeguarding practices in various educational and childcare contexts. The module will outline some of the key safeguarding issues facing children and vulnerable adults both within education, childcare and wider society. The module will enhance the professional practices of learners and prepare them to work with potentially vulnerable groups.

Cyfathrebu This will be developed both in seminar discussions and in preparation for the assessments.

Sgiliau ymchwil This will be developed throughout the module but particularly in regards to the research necessary in the assessments.
Technoleg Gwybodaeth All assignments will be word processes and students will be required to utilize IT resources in the research of their assignments.
