Disgrifiad cryno
This module will consider the ways in which film and television in Britain reflected the changing nature of society after the Second World War. It will explore how television gradually became a popular domestic medium during this period and how television formats with which we are familiar today developed during this period. The political, social, and cultural contexts of film and television will also be studied and so we will consider how the small screen and the large screen resonated with (and reflected) changes in British society after 1945.
