This module gives an overview of the Tourism discipline, its importance to the economy and the issues it faces. Furthermore the module delivers an overview of basic numerical approaches to support business decisions. Both areas are then brought together and the numerical approaches are applied to Tourism examples (mainly using excel) to allow students real life cases to aid their learning and appreciation of the use of number in a business setting.

Nod

The module aims to equip students with a business based knowledge of the basic numerical approaches used in business decision making, in tandem with improving students' understanding of tourism as an industry sector.
