Wedi cwblhau'r modiwl dylai'r myfyrwyr fedru:

  1. Communicate information and ideas in the form of a presentation following the agricultural study tour
  2. Develop a reasoned argument and challenge assumptions
  3. Formulate hypotheses and research questions, undertake data collection, and make academic arguments.
  4. Identify factors influencing production systems and assess their impact on business management and performance
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of agricultural supply chains
  6. Identify appropriate data sources and information resources
  7. Instill appropriate academic conduct (e.g. avoiding unacceptable practice).
  8. Interpret and use data
  9. Demonstrate basic computer literacy

Disgrifiad cryno

The module is intended to prepare students with the key skills necessary for a successful academic and professional career such as time management, critical thinking and reflective learning. An important aspect of the module is an introduction to a range of research issues such as literature evaluation, data synthesis and assessment and oral, visual and written communication. The module content is delivered through a range of formats including lectures, workshops, e-learning and tutorials. In semester 2 students will attend a week long study tour in East of England, previously a part of BR1110. Following the visit the students will undertake a presentation which will help develop their group working and presentation skills.

Cydlynu ag erail Students will work in small groups during workshops. Small group learning will encourage students to communicate, assess and present information as a team.
