PDGE (Secondary) in Mandarin, Degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Northeast Normal University, China

I hold a degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Northeast Normal University, China, as well as a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) from Aberdeen University. My background also includes a degree in Art and Design and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Teaching. I taught in China for seven years before moving to the UK.

I have taught Mandarin in both university and school settings. I have been a Mandarin tutor at Aberystwyth University’s Lifelong Learning Department for over three years. My teaching focuses on developing learners’ linguistic ability and cultural understanding.
