Mae ymchwil Lucy yn canolbwyntio ar wyliadwriaeth, rhyw ac anabledd yn llenyddiaeth y ddeunawfed ganrif a’r bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg. Mae’n archwilio sut y gwnaeth craffu – yn wladwriaeth ac yn gymdeithasol – lywio agweddau diwylliannol, yn enwedig yn y cyfnod Rhamantaidd. Mae ei llyfr, Gender, Surveillance, a Literature in the Romantic Period (Routledge, 2022), yn edrych ar sut y daeth gwyliadwriaeth yn rhan annatod o ddiwylliant llenyddol rhwng 1780 a 1830.
Mae ei gwaith diweddar yn ymwneud ag Astudiaethau Anabledd Critigol, gan ystyried sut mae llenyddiaeth yn adlewyrchu ac yn siapio canfyddiadau o nam a gofal. Mae ei phennod ar anabledd, gofalu, a gwyliadwriaeth ym Mandeville William Godwin yn ymddangos yn Care and Disability: Relational Representations (Routledge, 2025).
Mae ei myfyrwyr PhD yn gweithio ar lenyddiaeth Gothig, ffuglen fin de siècle, diwylliant cyfnodolion, astudiaethau anabledd, a chynrychioliadau o ffigurau nad ydynt yn ddynol mewn llenyddiaeth.
Mae hi'n croesawu ceisiadau PhD ar wyliadwriaeth, anabledd, rhyw, a hunan-reoleiddio mewn ffuglen Rhamantaidd a'r bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg, yn ogystal â phrosiectau rhyngddisgyblaethol sy'n ymwneud â dyniaethau meddygol, damcaniaeth feirniadol, a hanes diwylliannol.
