WordPress is a piece of software that can be used to create a website and/or blog. At Aberystwyth University we have 2 WordPress networks available:

Blogging and Internal Projects Network

wordpress.aber.ac.uk

This network is for internal projects, and staff or student personal (work/study-related) blogging.

Research and External Collaboration Network

wp-research.aber.ac.uk 

This network is for research websites or other sites which require external users to be able to contribute toward the site.

On this network it is possible to create sites with their own domain or sub-domain, as well as their own branding and styles.

If you are interested in setting up a new research website, please take a look at the guidance below and contact us as soon as possible in your planning stages to discuss your needs.
