Overview

Sustainability isn’t a passing trend. It’s here to stay. There is a race to get to net zero by 2050. But how can we achieve that as individuals or a small business? It is overwhelming and can feel that one person cannot make a difference. Let’s look at some statistics: - 80% of the UKs waste is recyclable but only 46% is actually recycled - 12.6 million tonnes of paper goes to landfill each year and this produces methane. Could we reuse it again? Or not use paper? - 5 million disposable vapes are thrown away every week! Yes, we can make a difference. We will discuss the ‘circular economy’ and look at the three principles to curtail our waste in manageable ways. It is our responsibility. We will discuss what sustainability really means and explain why recycling is the last option. Have you used Ecosia web browser to find this information for instance? We will work through scenarios where you can make an impact, where you can create an actionable plan and be an influencer. Join the revolution and do your bit…and it starts now.
